BIOGRAPHY

Esai Velasquez is a New York-based photographer specializing in fine art portraiture. While his contemporary work explores familiar spaces, his unique artistic prowess has allowed him to gain commercial expertise while leaving room for his introspective work to flourish. Outside of his constructed family tableaus that explore familial relationships, his fashion photography expands on his diverse background.

Earlier in his career he was featured panelist for Photoville working closely with the International Center of Photography. His work has been featured in editorial spreads for Primadonna Magazine. While continuing to work on his personal series, his other work has been exhibited at the The Uno Port Art Film Festival based in Japan, Soho Photo Gallery, The Museum at FIT, The IW Gallery, and more recently the C+C Gallery featuring his self-portrait titled *Apt 3H.*
